There is something about spring weddings at Sandlewood Manor that feels straight out of a period romance, and Melanie + Russell’s wedding day was exactly that. Soft spring blooms, romantic garden inspired details, emotional moments tucked between laughter, and a dance floor so fun that even grandma stayed out there all night long.
Nestled just outside of Houston, Sandlewood Manor has become one of my favorite wedding venues for couples wanting an elegant estate feel while still keeping their wedding relaxed, joyful, and full of personality. With its sprawling grounds, white manor backdrop, and peaceful countryside atmosphere, it was the perfect setting for Melanie + Russell’s spring wedding vision.

Spring Florals at a Sandlewood Manor Wedding
One of the standout details from the day was easily the florals. Everywhere you looked there were lush spring blooms in soft romantic tones that perfectly complemented the manor grounds. The ceremony space felt airy and timeless while the reception carried that same garden inspired feel indoors.
Spring weddings in Houston can sometimes feel unpredictable weather wise, but this day could not have been more beautiful. The warm breeze, green landscape, and blooming florals made every part of the venue feel alive and cinematic.

Sandlewood Manor Wedding Portraits with a Pride & Prejudice Flair
During Melanie + Russell’s couples portraits, we fully leaned into the romantic countryside atmosphere that Sandlewood Manor naturally gives. You know the scene. The tension. The wind. The soft dramatic longing straight out of Pride and Prejudice.
The manor grounds created the perfect backdrop for portraits that felt elegant but still natural and connected. Nothing overly posed, just the two of them soaking in those first quiet moments together while wandering the property.
These are always my favorite kinds of wedding portraits because they feel less like “photo time” and more like memories unfolding naturally.

Tomball Wedding Reception
One of the most unique parts of the evening had to be cocktail hour when guests got to feed the horses on the property. It added such a fun and unexpected experience for everyone and fit the relaxed estate atmosphere perfectly.
Instead of guests simply waiting around between events, everyone was fully immersed in the experience of the venue. Kids loved it. Adults loved it. And honestly, it made for some incredibly fun candid moments throughout cocktail hour.
It is details and experiences like this that make weddings at Sandlewood Manor feel so memorable and personal.

Dancing the Night Away at Sandlewood Manor
From the moment the reception started, the energy never slowed down. The dance floor stayed packed the entire night and somehow continued getting louder and more chaotic in the best way possible as the evening went on.
One of my favorite moments was seeing grandma right in the middle of the dance floor fully enjoying herself alongside everyone else. Those are the moments couples remember forever. Not perfect poses or timelines running flawlessly, but the feeling of being surrounded by people who genuinely love celebrating with you.
Melanie + Russell created the kind of wedding day that felt intentional without ever feeling overly structured. Emotional without feeling performative. Elegant while still being wildly fun.

The Perfect Tomball Wedding Venue for Spring Weddings
If you are planning a spring wedding near Houston and dreaming of a venue that feels romantic, timeless, and full of natural beauty, Sandlewood Manor truly delivers.
Between the open estate grounds, elegant architecture, horses on property, and gorgeous gardens during spring bloom season, it creates such a beautiful balance of luxury and warmth. It is especially perfect for couples wanting a wedding that feels elevated while still allowing space for genuine connection and fun throughout the day.
Melanie + Russell’s wedding was the perfect reminder that the best wedding days are not about perfection. They are about presence, joy, and creating a space where your people can fully celebrate alongside you.
